The DTTG gives the Gerhard-Lagaly-Award of the DTTG to internationally excellent scientists with outstanding original research in the field of clay mineralogy. The prize has the character of a "midcareer award" with an age limit of the awardee between 40 and 55 years at the time of nomination. The price is internationally open and not only for MECC members.
