The Honorary Membership of the DTTG is awarded to scientists with outstanding original research with a high impact on clay science and/or outstanding promoters of the DTTG. The Meeting of the Members appoints honorary members after unanimous recommendation by the extended executive committee. The award is not restricted to members of DTTG.
